APBY COVID-19 Policy
Last Updated: 6/25/20
Arey’s Pond is open for mooring customers, catboat lessons and rentals, and no-contact order pick ups. Please call ahead to schedule lessons, rentals or place pick up orders.
Starting Friday June 26th, our launch service will be operating daily from 8am-5pm through Labor Day Weekend. Masks are required and we request that only one person from a group rides the launch to bring their boat to the dock and load up passengers and gear. To ensure social distancing, our launch drivers cannot help passengers or gear to and from the boat.
We are doing our best to staff the launch for the posted hours, especially on weekends, but please understand that hours may change due to extenuating staffing or COVID-19 circumstances.
While on the boat yard premises, we ask that customers follow the guidelines below (many of these guidelines are state mandated).
- Masks should be worn while at the waterfront, docks, bathrooms, dinghies, launch boat and sailing lessons.
- Customers should not enter boat yard offices or shops, as they remain closed to the public. Please ring the bell on the office door to the left for in-person service.
- No gathering or groups of persons from multiple households will be permitted, and all customers shall practice strict physical distancing.
Customers who do not feel well or have been exposed to COVID-19 should not visit our facilities.
We know that using private boats may be one of the only summer activities our customers are looking forward to, and we aim to prioritize safety while allowing use of boats moored in our pond. We will continue to monitor the situation and post any updates to our policy here.
