Watch as We Restore This Old Girl to Her Original Glory

In 2009, Arey’s Pond started restoring the 1909 H. Manley Crosby-built catboat, Conjurer. In 2008, she had been sailed down the coast to Pleasant Bay by previous owner Peter Baker of Brooklin, Maine to be delivered to current owner, Fred Villars. We worked on her part time until 2012, at which time builders at Arey’s Pond focused on finishing her. After working on her full-time over two winters, at 104 years old, Conjurer was floating in May and sailing by October 2013, having had the summer to swell up her century-old keel. Over the winter of 2014, details will be finished and by spring, she will be ready to sail the waters of Cape Cod.
