At this year’s seminar, you will hear from us about boating safety, our sailing school, changes in the topography of the Bay after winter, an update on our boatbuilding projects, including the Arey’s XFC 14’ catboat featured in Sail Magazine, and exciting events coming this summer. A representative from the Namequoit Sailing Association will tell us about their summer racing series.
We will finish our seminar with a presentation by guest speaker, Agnes Mittermayr, Ph.D., from the Center for Coastal Studies. Learn more about Agnes’ work below!

Agnes Mittermayr, Ph.D. – Agnes is a Marine Ecologist from the Center for Coastal Studies She will present her work on marine invertebrates (worms, clams, crabs) in Pleasant Bay. We’ll learn more about how these small, but very important, species connect with each other and their environments.
