In his time here, Trevor worked many jobs including rigging, bottom painting, shrink wrapping, boat hauling, forklift driving, cat wrangling, fine varnish and AwlGrip work, and even some light boatbuilding. In addition to all of these various assorted tasks, Trevor spend three years with the Arey’s Pond Sailing School, with two years as Head Instructor of the program.
In September of 2016 Trevor decided to try his hand at other pursuits. Never one to stay far from the water for long, he became a Pool Boy on Nantucket, living and working on the island for nearly six years. After so much island living, Trevor came back to the Pond in July of 2022. Now he spends is says as a Rigger and MudMan, Master of MudWorld, back with his beloved catboats.
When he’s not at the Pond, Trevor can generally be found at home, deep in the woods, cranking up his sound system and surrounded by the horses he fears so much.

Geoff Cabral
Growing up in Bermuda, Geoff has spent his entire life on and under the water. Starting his career at the age of 13, he went to work at Ocean Sails, a small sail loft in the town of St George’s. After years of other jobs, ranging from teaching scuba diving, building an underwater cooling pipeline, building small boats, delivering sailboats between Bermuda, the Caribbean and eastern U.S. and working as bosun on an oceanographic research ship, he decided to go back to the sail loft and really learn the craft.
Steve Hollis, owner of Ocean sails, taught Geoff the skills that got him rolling on an exciting career. For Geoff, the ability to take raw materials and fabricate beautiful and functional products is very rewarding. He moved to Cape Cod in 2002 and started at Arey’s Pond Boat Yard in 2004. He led the rigging department for 12 years.
In 2016, when we decided to build a sail loft/canvas shop to meet the growing needs of the boat yard, Geoff became its manager. He fabricates all the boat covers, upholstery and accessories for our new boats, as well as for existing customers’ boats. When he’s not behind the sewing machine or patterning new work, he can usually be found surfing or kite-boarding on the water, or mountain biking the beaches and trails of Cape Cod.
