The Arey’s Pond boatbuilding and restoration shop will take on any project small or large. We are regularly working on wood or fiberglass repairs as well as larger jobs from wooden spar construction to the complete restoration of classic wooden boats. Wood

As the backbone and passion of most builders, wooden boats are never far from our minds at Arey’s Pond. We have decades of experience in everything from antique boat restoration to basic repairs and construction. Our skilled craftsman and 5000 sf. boat building facility are ready to help you with your next project.

Spars & Rigging

Rigging is one of our specialties at Arey’s Pond. Our rigging department designs, builds, tunes and services hundreds of sailboats every year.

We work with carbon fiber, aluminum, and wood and most of our construction is done in house. While we specialize in gaff rigged sailboats, we regularly rig a wide range of vessels, some as small as our 12’ Kitten as well as larger cruising yachts. We relish a challenge and a new opportunity, so let us help you perfect your rig!

Though our hearts are with wood we do not shy away from any boat in need of assistance. From basic fiberglass repairs to extensive restorations; we have worked on countless vessels of all shapes and sizes.

Restoring Conjurer

One of our most notable projects is the restoration of Conjurer, a 28’ Crosby Brothers Catboat built in 1909. Work done on this piece of Cape Cod history, included steam bending planks, rebuilding the centerboard trunk and cockpit sole, among other repairs and improvements.
