Service Technician – Full-Time 

At Arey’s Pond Boat Yard, our energetic team believes in working hard, supporting one another, and enjoying life. We’re looking for a motivated, team-first individual who wants to grow with us, take on responsibility, and bring a positive attitude to the yard every day. 

What You’ll Do

This role is built on the foundation of service work. Your initial responsibilities will focus on:

  • Bottom painting, waxing, and power washing
  • Cleaning and detailing boats
  • Shrink wrapping and seasonal prep

From there, you’ll expand into:

  • Novice outboard motor work (basic training provided, including winterizing and commissioning)
  • Minor boat repairs, such as fiberglass and gel coat work
  • Trailer repair and maintenance
  • Fork truck operations (certification provided if needed)

Over time, as your role develops, you’ll have opportunities to gain exposure to:

  • Trailering, launching/hauling, and rigging boats
  • Varnish, paint, and custom boatbuilding projects 

What We’re Looking For

  • A few years of experience in the boating industry preferred
  • Strong interest in gaining knowledge of the boating industry and its intricacies
  • Fork truck certification a plus (training and certification provided at Arey’s if needed)
  • Strong team-first attitude and reliability
  • Attention to detail and willingness to work outdoors in all seasons
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility

 Compensation

  • $22-$25/hour, depending on experience. Overtime opportunities may be available.
